Registry

Hi! As I mentioned in another post, we've recently registered at BB&B and Crate & Barrel.  We want towels from Restoration Hardware (because they're gorgeous and thick and I love them). We couldn't really find a duvet cover that we liked at BB&B so we'd also like to find one of those somewhere else.  Would it be silly to register for ONLY bath towels and a duvet/duvet cover at Restoration Hardware? Should we just use any money we receive to purchase those items? I think people like to buy towels for shower/wedding gifts because they're easy to wrap and you can buy a nice set of a bath towel, hand towel, and wash cloth to give together.....but they won't know that we would like them if we don't have a registry for them.  Any advice is appreciated!

I think that it'd be fine to do this, just make sure you have other registries with other options for guests.  I would see if you could find other things to add to the list so they have more choices.  But, just beware that Restoration Hardware isn't everywhere, so you might not end up getting that much activity on that registry. But, IMO it doesn't hurt to at least put it on there.

I registered at RH for towels and bathmats.  My sister was the only one who gave them to me, for towels they're definitely exp but worth every penny.  If you don't get them just go after and get them w/wedding money.  BTW they don't give you a coupon to complete your registry.

I wouldn't make a separate registry just for towels.  Using any cash you may get is a good option for this.

If people can order from your RH registry online and don't have to depend on storefronts, then I say go for it (I don't know anything about the availability of RH storefronts, I just saw Meredith mentioned they aren't everywhere).  Either way, it can't hurt to put the option out there, and no harm is done if people don't buy them--because if that happens you can just go with your alternate plan to buy with cash you receive.  I've never been to this store before...you've got me curious about these towels!  : )

Meh, I wouldnt hesitate to do it, esp since it's so easy to create a registry online. I think we only had like 7 items on our Amazon registry.
