Hmmm...Registry Question sort of

So our family and friends were VERY generous for our shower, we literally received everything that was on it.I just got an email from my old boss who I invited to the wedding but he and his wife cannot make it.  He asked me where we are registered.Should I add stuff?  I never thought about adding stuff after the shower for people who want to buy gifts.  Is this the norm?

Yes, I did add a few things after the shower for those that wanted to buy wedding gifts (esp for those who couldn't make it to the wedding, they like to buy real gifts sometimes).

I guess there isn't any reason why I couldn't, didn't think I would face this.

I would add some small pieces nothing overly priced.  I saw some a popcorn machine at macy's that I am totally going to put on my registry.  I'd normally say a giftcard is in order, but I even feel weird asking for a GC from someone.

I  guess the question is do you need anything else?  If so then go for it and register. If you dont need anything else, just make a joke out of it and say its full! lol. you dont have to get anything. They will just get the idea and fork over a check.

Thats the thing Danes, I just added a few pieces of my china that I never put on because I didn't think they were needed to be on there.  But other than that, we really are full, we are already storing our China at my moms.

Definitely add things....good call on the china. I would also suggest something like a crystal vase or something if you'd like something like that! )

I hate buying crap that people dont need.  I would just like I said casually say its all been filled by my amazing family and I  have wracked my brain and cant think of anything we need.  I think its your best bet.  Or else you'll just return.

Yup, add the good stuff.  I had to because people were really upset that there were not enough good gifts worthy of wedding present status.  Did I return some things, yes but it made my guests life easier so I did it.China serving plattersCrystal vasesPretty cake plateA really nice picture frame

More than half of the gifts we got for the wedding were gifts.
