Band Recommendations

FI and I are on different pages about music. I like hearing the original artist singing songs, and he really wants a band. I don't want to spend more than $5,000 on music which I know is relatively low. Can you girls recommend some good bands in that range? Maybe i'll be convinced if I see someone good. TIA

My band was right around that price and they were amazing. Price can be adjusted by changing how many pieces you have. Franklin & Alison Orchestra.

We booked Right on Time from Elegant Ensembles -- everyone keeps telling us how incredible they were.  Even all our vendors who really don't have to say anything at all afterwards.  DH and his friends are music freaks and they all loved them!  They are right on target with your budget

We used smokinsection.com  They were great and offer live showcases every few weeks so you can check them out in person.

Starlyte Entertainement.  They were excellent at our wedding, and you can choose how many pieces you want to alter your price (which i believe is the same for any band)

We saw the Roustabouts at a wedding earlier this year and we were not a fan. They took a break every 5 minutes and the music they had playing during their breaks was barely audible. Also during one break one of the girls in the band was lounging on the sofa in the main lobby with her feet up talking on her cell phone like she was at home in her living room. Just looked unprofessional to me. Lastly they ended the night very abruptly, they didn't announce that it was the last song, they didn't say 'have a good night', they just stopped playing and started packing up while everyone was on the dance floor.  On a positive note they did sound good. Thought the girl who sang At Last did a nice job with the song.
