I wanna vomit.  I HATE these fricken shows.  For one reason.  Every company I work with that has offices outside the NJ area (I work for sales offices for years mostly remote where its me and sales reps) and Ive ALWAYS had to deal with the question of "oh wow I saw this MTV show about The Jersey Shore is that how you act"I wanna fukcen punch those douchebags.

I find the shows amusing in that I KNOW there are those ppl down the shore. However I hate shows like this because it just makes the rest of us have to work harder to defend Jersey and remind people that not everyone is like "true life jersey shore". It took me forever to get my FI to move to Jersey from NYC.

Really? Did we REALLY need this show? True Life: I'm a Jersey Shore-Wh*re was bad enough!!I totally hate defending NJ after these things!

I had a friend who got married the year after we graduated (Fairfield U CT) who gave all of our college friends directions to her wedding that took them through a corn field and some farms and over a mountain. It only added about 10min to the drive from the church to the reception to prove to all of them (from all over the country) that Jersey wasn't the smelly tpk that everyone made fun of us about for 4 years of college.

i know what u mean about defending jersey. we went to foxwoods for one of my friend's bachelorette parties and we met these guys from boston. they asked us where we were from and they were immediately like - oh like mtv jersey shore girl. we were like, yes, we are exactly like that! (sarcastic of course)

Although I usually love trashy reality TV, these kinds of idiots are just not entertaining to me. I don't get why they are so proud of being orange and trashy??

Things like this make me so angry.  Particularly when I then have to defend myself people, particularly to a$$holes from Long Island (where my husband is from, so I know a ton of them) who think that LI is the greatest place on earth.  Um... what part of any stereotype do I or any of my friends from home fit?  I will say that I liked when so many of our guests from LI couldn't stop talking at our rehearsal dinner/reception about how they saw horses and cows and sheep and deer while they were out for the wedding, and they couldn't believe all the open space they saw (none of them are used to seeing houses on more than a tenth of an acre).

I saw a preview for it last night! lol.. Its coming out the beginning of dec.. i cant believe they actually made a tv series, its stupid!  but of course, i will be watching! lol
