Poconos

Anyone have a suggestion for a nice place to stay in the Poconos? We're rethinking our honeymoon options and are looking for someplace within driving distance and that's affordable. FI suggested driving to the Poconos ... we're just going away for maybe 3 days after our wedding because he can't take a lot of time off work that month, but we're hoping to go to Europe in the summer and treat that as a true honeymoon. We've already been to Boston and DC several times and liked those places, and we've been to Baltimore as well. I've also got Cape Cod, Cape May and Niagara Falls in mind. There's also the idea of renting a nice Shore house for a long weekend but we'd be going in April and I imagine it'd be pretty dead. The original plan was to fly to Chicago but since we don't have a lot of time we're rethinking that option.

As cheesy as it sounds Mt. Airy has some nice rooms and it's got a nice feel to the casino. For some reason I wanna say there was a post about a specific hotel on the nest not too long ago. I'll have to go back and look.

Inn at Woodloch is supposed to be a really, really nice spa. My sister went to Skytop with her family last year and liked it, but it might be too family-friendly. You may also want to look into the Adirondacks, Berkshires, Vermont, Annapolis, Philadelphia... there are a lot of great choices within driving distance. Maybe Philly if you liked Boston and DC a lot.

Thanks girls! We've been to Philadelphia before, Caketime, but not the other places you listed. So I'll look into those too, thanks :) I'm also trying to convince FI to go to Maine. We've been to Boston a bunch of times but I certainly wouldn't mind going back because we really like it there. All you have to bringIs your love of everythiiinnnnggg ....Beautiful Mt. Maine would be nice, or Vermont.
