Mediterranean Cruise?

Who's been on one? Where did it go? And what cruiseline did you take? My mom wants to take us as a family for December since we have a week off of work. Wanted to see which ones are the best! TIA. Sorry if I post and run - I gotta pick my mom up from the airport in 20 min.

D I love your dukes takes you on exotic cruises for family vacations ...we were lucky if we got a family vaca as kids and at best, it was the Jersey Shore so I <3 your mom for being so generous (tell her I said that) I really love cruises too

Yusi, I'm going on the same one in July!!!  We did a lot of research and RC had the best itinerary for our money.  Norwegian cruises are good too and I've heard good things about Holland America for families.  Ddelo, depending on where you want to go and dates will depend on what options you have...

Amy, I did a LOT of research and RCCL was the best for your money. If you dont already know, go to cruisecritic.com and there you can find info on each of the ports. There are also call rolls boards so you get to meet (you know online) fellow passengers prior to cruising.....

I'm not sure about their itineraries or costs for this particular cruise, but I'm a huge fan of Norwegian,  they have 'freestyle' cruising, so you can eat wherever, whenever, with whom ever you like. There's not set dining times and all ships have like 12 restaurants to choose from each night.

My parents did one on Costa a few years back and do not recommend them.  Stick with a more American Company (RC, Princess, Holland America, etc) don't go with a European one, they didn't love the experience.  But, they did love the region!  Have fun!

I I really want to go on that cruise next year, but the dates that are close to our wedding are sold out.

Dana Royal Car. all the way! I never did the mediterranean cruise but I have done a few cruises and prefer RC to the others. We just came off a RC Caribbean anniversary cruise (for us) last month. It was awesome. Yusi what ship are you going on??

Acabalitas, I think ours still has some room. The May 3rd one so feel free to join us, lolJennifer, we are going on The Brilliance of The Seas, is not a brand new ship (2002) but that's the one around our dates and with the itinerary we want....

We just did one last month for our honeymoon. It was on Carnival. Went all over Italy, Monaco, Croatia, and supposed to go to Barcelona but due to rough seas, we didn't make it there. We loved it but not sure Carnival is having any more there. They just built the ship we were on in Italy so it was the second trip there before heading back this way.
