scroll seating chart

When I was looking at reception halls, I saw this scroll seating chart that people were using in replacement of seating cards. Anyone know the average price for using this?

check on etsy. i think i saw a few vendors who type it up for you. don't quote me but i think it was around $40. they email you the file which you can turn around and email to staples or office depot.  they can print it for you on a 2 feet by 3 feet poster, or whichever size you want. i got a quote from staples of $48.when i told FI it was like $100, he agreed to write out the table cards with his perfect penmanship.

You can just make one yourself. I made one but it got too messy and confusing so I ended up with regular cards. If you're going through a printer or designer I guess it could cost something,it's only one piece of paper so probably not much.

You could DIY for just the cost of having it printed.

I wanted this initially but all the fancy/pretty ones with calligraphy were well in th upper hundreds. I was really close to getting one but didn't care too much about the seating to spend close to 1k for it. I looked into the DIY ones and to be honest, they would't have come out the way I wanted them to.

I should also add that I don't have a lot of patience for DIY and am a perfectionist so even though I was not satisfied with how DIY would have turned out for me personally, I am sure that is a really great option.

The ones I looked at ranged from 400-900ish+. I forget exactly what the prices were but I remember being like umm yea..seating cards will do.

If you're looking for something that actually looks like an old school scroll and is hand written in calligraphy with frayed burnt edges, then yeah probably not so easy to DIY without it looking like and arts and crafts project and I could see how someone would charge a lot of money to do that for you. But you could easily do a modify version with the same type of feel by just typing up your seating chart in Word/Powerpoint have it printed at Staples and framed for next to nothing and it would look very clean & professional.

wow what a waste of money.  if you're not a DIY'er see if one of your BMs are... it really doesn't look difficult at all.  also must note if you don't have a largest guestlist, it'll come out looking pretty stupid since you won't have guests under every letter.
