Bridesmaid Dresses

Does anyone have a recs for where to go for bridesmaid dresses? So far I've been to RK Bridal (where I bought my dress) and Brides' Best Friend in Englewood and have struck out in both places. I'm sure that we could have found something at RK bridal, but the way it was organized was just too overwhelming. I have 3 bridesmaids and am thinking of black cocktail length dresses in the same fabric but different styles (girls choose). I'm looking for a store that has a good selection, but that is semi-organized. Any ideas? TIA

RK is a kick-ass place when you really know what you are looking for.... bc it is overwhelming.  i really liked BBF bc it was a smaller shop.  those were actually my two fave places!  we found our dresses at RK.  bridals by roma, as much as i hate then, actually has another huge BM section to check out.  bjiou's has like nothing, park ave has a decent selection, chrissy o's is a mess, helen bohn is pretty limited, afordable elegance is going out of biz i think, and i cant think of where else i went... nonchalance, they had a decent selection too.

I would like to definitely keep it under $200, hopefully in the $150 or less range.

Bridals by Roma, Bijou Bridal and Park Ave seemed to have big selections.  I think Bridals by Roma had the best selection I've seen.  It took us quite awhile to look through all of them.

Thank you! I think I might start at Nonchalance and give Roma another try. Although I wasn't a big fan for bridal, they do have a huge selection of bridesmaid dresses. Thanks again!

I'm also planning to do black cocktail dresses, so we're just going to go to a mall and some department stores and see what we can find. I personally didn't want to deal with ordering from a salon, waiting around for dresses to come in, getting alterations done, etc. And I only have two BMs so I'm hoping it won't be too hard to get them to agree on something. I'm open to letting them pick different styles in the same fabric, but that's probably easier when you can pick a designer that offers lots of different styles. There are a lot of nice cocktail dresses on Nordstrom.com. I got a nice black cocktail dress from Ann Taylor's "Weddings and Parties line" a couple of seasons ago, I've seen some nice dresses at Macy's in the past, and the Jessica McClintock store has had some decent stuff. I think we're going to go to a place like Short Hills Mall and look around.

We got ours at Nonchalance. The girls got short black cocktail dresses, and they got like 15% off because we ordered 5. I think total they ended up being like $159.

I went to Nonchalance on a Sat morning and it was INSANE.  I would suggest going at a time when they are not so busy if you decide to go there. After Nonchalance I wound up at Priscilla of Boston in Short Hills.  I loved their salon and their dresses!  I had the best luck there.  However, I must say that their customer service is a little iffy at PoB- Joanne was the bridal consultant and she can be rude.  My friend who just got married worked with her too, and we can't understand why she's not pleasant.  We think she just got a divorce or something!

Nonchalance has a great selection of dresses, but I definitely would not go there on a Saturday again.  They gave us one tiny dressing room for 4 girls to try on dresses and the dressing rooms are smack in the middle of the salon.
