Woodcliff Manor, Woodcliff Lake: receptionI wish I could write a review about the Woodcliff Manor alone. Amazing is all I can say. I worked mostly with David and he was so helpful, kind and I am actually going to really miss him. All the staff was so accommodating, the food was awesome and the cocktail hour was to die for. Some people who were outside smoking said the waitstaff even came outside in the rain to bring them food. People cannot stop raving about how nice they were and how good the food was. They knew ahead of time that one of my friends was on a restrictive diet so not only did they accomodate themeal but also made sure they had sorbet in the ice cream bar so she could have some dessert. It was pouring the day of our wedding but the next day was beautiful. When we went there to pick up some of our stuff. Gil (one of the owners) had a camera ready and took John and I around the grounds so we could have some photos with all the foliage. He emailed them to us that night. Totally unnecessary and so very appreciated! Honestly I went in expecting phenomenal service but they really did top my expectations. Not one thing went wrong. I would do it all over again without missing a beat.Tina's Bridal, Totowa: Wedding Dress, Bridesmaids Dresses and MOB Dress: When I walked into Tina's and met Tina I felt at home like I could pluck her out of her store and place her right into my family. The prices were reasonable, I loved my dress and she took a strapless dress and made sleeves for me out of the shawl. It was everything I wanted. Bridesmaids dresses were ordered there but they all had their alterations elsewhere, but the ordering process was no problem at all. My mom looked all over for a dress and even though she lives on Long Island she ordered her dress from here because Tina is the only on that had the perfect one. Her alterations were done at the store and it was a little loose on top and I think they could have done a bit better for her in that respect otherwise I was really satisfied.Robert's Tuxedo, Totowa: TuxedosThey were great to work with. Own all their own tuxedos and do the tailoring right on the premise. My nephew who was a junior groomsman had a huge growth spurt the 2 months leading up to the wedding and when he went to pick up his tux, nothing was right, but they were able to swap everything out right on the spot.Right on Time from Elegant Ensembles: BandThe band was terrific, kept the dance floor packed all night long. They learned every special song we asked them to and did a killer rendition of "tonight's the night" by the Black Eyed Peas. Our vendors (Who do not have to comment at all) even remarked how good they were.were. The only weird thing is that they did not have a cordless mic, so David from the Woodcliff Manor moved 2 chairs on the dance floor during the toasts so we could be near the MoH and BMTravel Limo, Pequannock, NJ: LimosAs far as Limos go DH and I were looking just for Point A to Point B transportation. We booked two 10 passenger limos for 3 hr, one Lincoln towncar for 4 1/2 hrs, a shuttle for 1 1/2 hours from OOT hotel to reception, a shuttle for 1 hr from reception to hotel, transportation to and from airport for our honeymoon and the total bill was less than $1400. The showed up on time, got us there, the vehicles were clean, we had champagne. In my eyes that can't be beat. One little thing was that Limo driver for one of the limos must of had another pick up to get to because he was very much in a rush to leave once dropping part of the wedding party off at the reception.Blooms of Wayne, Wayne, NJ: FlowersI am not really a flower person and wanted very much a fall look to our flowers and nothing to to normal weddingy (no white/ivory etc) and Dana hit the flowers right on the mark. Beuatiful flame callas, and black magic roses, berries, leaves and curly willow. People who are flower people told me they were absolutely beautiful.Marlisa Specialties, Totowa, NJ: STDs, InvitiationsI loved working with Mary Ann. She was so nice and I would spend hours in her store just talking to her. We were looking for a classic invitation and she had tons of books and we found the perfect one. The ordering process was simple, she is very efficient. I even got the ring bearer pillows, part of the groomsmen gifts and our cake topped there. When I find a vendor who works out well I stick with them. We will be using her for our Thank yous as well (I want to get the informal notecards that match the invites)Le Petit Gateau, Park Ridge: CakeThe cake was part of our reception package but it looked and tasted incredible. Even if I had to go back and choose my own bakery Le Petit Gateau would win it.Bill Mitchell Photography: Photos and VideoI had some issues with them the week of the wedding and I was super upset. They did rectify that and will post a review when we see the photos/video. I want to be fair and review the final product because that is mostly what it is all about. Park Ridge Marriott: OOT HotelI would not really even consider reviewing the OOT hotel except that I went in with the worst of expectation and came out with nothing but praise for the hotel. Leading up to the wedding they were very frustrating because their story about shuttle service changed everytime we talked to them which led us to also book our own private shuttle because our confidence was low. They did provide shuttle service, but am glad we had supplemental service as well because they wanted to bring the guests over at 5:30 for a 6:00 reception and the shuttle ride was only 10 minutes. Most people ended up using the private shuttle service. The reason I am raving about them is because they treated me like gold the 3 days I stayed there. The night before my wedding my Best Friend stayed with me and when I woke up at 5 in the morning I did not want to wake her up so I "loitered" in my PJs in the hotel lobby. The front desk staff kept brining me tea, offering to bring me food, magazines, newspapers. Completely put me at ease for the 2 hours I stayed in the lobby. They truly acted liked the were there to serve me and I was blown away by that.
