What do we think? Ceremony Stuff

So I have STILL not decided on ceremony songs.  I was thinking about walking down the asile to When you wish upon a star.  I used to work for Disney and am a huge Disney fan.  Do we think its a terrible choice?

Next, we are having a solo violinist.  Our ceremony "starts" at 7:00pm. Reception at 8pm in the same location.  What time do you think I should have the violinist start playing and what time would you estimate the ceremony would end?  Guests are coming from the hotel by shuttle to the venue.  I originally thought 6:45-7:45, but now I am 2nd guessing myself thinking  people will get there earlier. Sorry there is so much information. FI isnt much help. And my mother is clueless.

I think you should walk down the aisle to whatever song you want.  I am all for unconventional song choices.  I walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of "Forever Young" (the original, not the J-Z version.)

As for the violinist I would do 6:45-7:45 because your venue should start directing people to the reception room about 15 minutes before, so that would work out good.
Only you know how long your ceremony will be, so I am not sure I understand that part of your question.

I think it depends on where the venue directs people, like PP said.  I hired a classical trio to play prior to the ceremony start and the guests were kept inside for longer than I had wanted.  I also want to mention that if you plan to have the violinist play for cocktail hour, think about how many guests you have and how loud they might be.  Our classical trio played through the whole thing, but the "buzz" of 200 people talking and eating completely drowned them out.
