I would just put the M&Ms in a disposable box or baggie. I don't keep shot glasses around, and I especially wouldn't keep one with someone else's name and wedding date on it. I hate "stuff" and I'm trying to de-clutter my life as much as possible.

I am with mbc--I wouldn't keep shot glasses with someone else's name on it. I say m&m's are great but maybe use a different packaging.

I agree use a less expensive more disposable packaging. If you want to personalize something put your names or the date on the m&ms. I would probably recycle the shot glass as I don't really drink and though my husband does he would never drink out of a shot glass.

I think its a cute idea but what about personalizing the M&Ms instead and keep the shot glass to a cute heart or another symbol of love w/o the names?

Agree--- it would be really cute as a present to you girlsfor the bachelorette party (I got the painted one for them) but as a favor, I think you should save your money.  Shot glasses are mostly dust collectors in my house.  I would be happy with the mms in a baggie with a nice color coordinating ribbon.

I agree with PPer's. I would do personalized M&M's, that are your wedding colors and either put them in a clear bag with a ribbon, or some sort of small take out container. Shot glasses are good favors for your bachelorette party, but not wedding. Unless all of your friends are drinkers.

This would be my primary reason to say no thanks, but I also agree with people who are saying that they aren't wedding-y.  If you're over 21, you probably don't need to add many shot glasses to your collection.  And really, I don't want any "keepsakes" with my friends' names/wedding info on it.

I had a similar idea; only instead of using them as shot glasses, use them as votive holders. Personally I love candles and I have a few votive holders that are personalized as thank you gifts from different programs I've volunteered with over the years.
