Planning a budget wedding

I am currently in the process of planning my wedding.  Does anyone know any venues in Winston-Salem, NC?  I am looking to have my ceremony and reception at the same location in hopes of saving money.

I am also having my wedding in that area. I received some good recommendations from **kgaliger**:
    1.     Millennium Center2.     Marriott or Embassy Suites – both have good ball rooms3.     Brookstown Inn (in Old Salem), there's another place in Old Salem but I can't remember the name of it,4.     Graylan – a favorite and a few girls have been married there5.     Reynolda Gardens6.     Wake Forest football stadium, they have a new center and it’s really nice. 7.     Tanglewood Golf Course / park (which has multiple facilities)8.     Forsyth country Club9.     Pine Brook Golf ClubI  heard from multiple people that Tanglewood Park was a great place. That's one of the places I am considering because it's pretty cheap.Good luck!

Thanks so much, I will look into some of these places.  Currently the only place I know about is the Hilton Garden Inn.

    Thanks Jenny!!

Are you looking for a location that you can have the ceremony in one room and then go to another room while they set up the reception?  The piedmont club has a really good set up for a joint ceremony / reception.  But the location is on the smallish side so it's best for a wedding of under 100 people.  there are a fair amount of churches in the downtown area that you could have a ceremony at and then have a reception location w/i walking distance.  We paid about $300 for our church and took the flowers from the ceremony with us to the reception, we re-used everything to get the most out of our dollar.

The convention center also has some ball rooms.

Tanglewood is a great budget option. I think it is a great romantic space. The chapel is really something sweet, for small weddings, not in the summer (no AC).

Just an FYI Graylen is not cheap.  If you get married anytime after 3 PM the food will cost you $69 per person and that does not include drinks.

I looked at the Shaffner House downtown-You get the whole place (including guest rooms) for$4300 and their food and drink prices were very reasonable.  It isn't for more than 75 ppl so my wedding director says.

You can also check with the Brookstown Inn. WHen I talked to them originally when we started planning our weddeing it was like $1000 to rent the place. I dont remember what all was included in that but the lady I talked with was super nice & good to work with. Tanglewood is a very pretty option but like Kristy said---no AC in the chapel. Is Winston the only place you are looking?
