Would you recommend a specific cruise/ship because Royal Caribbean have several?

My sister went on the Carnival Dream in the fall and loved it. They got a great deal and rave about the cruise all the time.

I have had other friends go on the Oasis of the Seas and loved it as well.

Royal Caribbean is considered a "party" cruise. Not to the extent of Carnival or Norwegian, but you will likely have a lot of families (especially in the summer) and singles on board.

If you want a less chaotic - but still fun! - experience, look into their sister line, Celebrity. Holland America Line and Princess (both owned by Carnival) are also similar; I think Princess skews a bit younger.

Celebrity is definitely not a party cruise! Those boozers in Bermuda were not typical Celebrity cruisers. Celebrity costs more than RCCL, and it has a stricter dress code at dinner. I've been on RCCL as well (and Carnival) ... but years ago. I definitely liked RCCL better than Carnival, as the ship (I think it was the Monarch) was much nicer, and its passengers had more diverse interests.

But Celebrity is a step above RCCL (more luxurious by far). I'm glad you love Royal Caribbean, but the industry does consider it a "party" cruise. The partying just happens to be more tasteful, and easier to avoid than if you're on Carnival. :)

funny you say this because I have several friends that have done Royal Carribean and said it was more of a party atmosphere than Carnival. Guess everyone has their own opinion. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, they are all reputable cruise ships.

I am a big fan of RC. I would go on a bigger ship, they offer a lot more than the smallers ones, and I found it to be a better experience. The voyager class ships are nice, but beginning to be a bit dated. Since then, even larger ones have come out.
