Question! Name and Taxes

So it's soon to be tax time and I was wondering...  Should I do all the name change stuff before or after doing my taxes?  According to the name change kit I have, you need to notify the IRS about a name change.  So would that interfer with me filing my taxes?  Thanks ladies!

    I think I found the answer to my own question. 

    According to several websites:  The SSA will automatically inform the IRS of your name change.  It takes about 2 weeks to verify the name change.

    So I guess as long as I wait 2 weeks after going to the SSA before filing my taxes I'll be good.
