Reception Exit

So I'm not sure how many of yall are doing this but we are thinking of not doing a reception exit since we are staying at the resort our reception is at.  Plus I feel like alot of people end up leaving before hand anyway and it's just one more expense for us. I was kinda against it at first but I think we're going to do an exit (for photos) after the ceremony....what do yall think?? Are yall doing a grand exit or not?

I bought the bubbles not thinking that people would be gone, except for the partiers, when we left.  We are staying at our venue as well, so we aren't leaving- everyone else is!  I wanted to "stage" and exit so everyone knows it is time to leave, but I may consider having the bubbles available for use after we walk back down the aisle..........not sure yet!

We stayed at the hotel where our reception was so we didn't do a grand exit from the reception. However, we did do a bubble exit after the ceremony. That way I got the exit with everybody there. I think people enjoyed it!

We didn't do any kind of special exit since our ceremony & reception were at the same place & we were also staying there the night of the wedding (along with about 50% of our guests!)

I don't feel like we missed out on anything & we'll have so many great pictures that I don't think not having "exit photos" will matter.

We're definitely doing a "big exit" and I'm hoping to get a really awesome convertible! But have you seen weddings where the guests throw rose petals as the couple exits the ceremony? I think I'd like to do that as well, and put the petals into cute "petal cones" made out of card stock or cute little boxes.  I've also seen pinwheel or ribbon exits!

We did a sparkler exit, but it was staged because we weren't finished partying!!  The pictures still look great, so if you want an exit you can still do it, even if it isn't really your exit!!

We did nothing. We were staying at the same place as our reception also and people did trickle out. If we had done an exit at the end of the four hours it would have actually been a little pathetic. I know it is not that way for everyone. But I saw no reason to make up an exit, inevitably spend money on that exit, just to ride around the block to pull back up and surely see some of the same people still. I think it only works if you are going elsewhere OR going in some back way and straight to your room. We went on to an hour of "after photos."

We're staying at the hotel where the reception is so we're planning to do an exit after the ceremony.  I'm glad to see a couple others have done this too :)

I feel like I need to do something since people need to know when to leave.  Our reception is ending at 9:30 and people need to be out by 10pm.  On the other hand, I've been to three different weddings this year and none of them did a grand exit.  They all just kept partying with the guests!

I do love the idea of doing bubbles when we walk back down the aisle. That way the pictures are already set and I bet it looks pretty cool too.

We probably won't be doing anything either.  Our reception is at the same place as the ceremony. And after the reception, we are carrying the party over to our beach house. So we didn't feel the need for an big exit.

We didn't do a grand exit - our ceremony and reception were at the same place and because it was so cold, people left really early anyways. Believe me...people will know when they're supposed to leave, especially if you have a last dance.

However, if you really want some sort of picture, after the ceremony would be fine.

We did a sparkler exit. I made the mistake of getting a ton of sparklers, and there were only like 20 ppl left at the end of the night (from 95). But, it was lots of fun and we got to run out to the limo that way, so... no regrets. Smile We went from the reception to our hotel.

Yeah - as with others - we did nothing because we were staying at the reception venue.  I think that it's fine if you want to stage one, but no one missed it and we certainly didn't because it left us to party with the guests for longer....
