probably a dumb question, but....

so, the number of centerpieces is based on the number of tables, right? But if you don't have a final count until close to the wedding, when you initially go for the florist consults, do you just say for the centerpiece count  the highest number it could be and then get it adjusted if it goes lower?

    I told my florist that I wasn't sure exactly how many table, but that it would be between 15 and 20 based on the number of guests.

    It should all be an estimate. The week of when you give your final count you can call her/him and tell him how many you will need.

    This exactly.  She should also walk you through any additional pieces you may want to consider, ie. for the escort card table, etc.

    I based it on my minimum which is 160. Estimated 10 people per table, so we were quoted at 16 table. Estimate your guest total and how many per table, and there you go.
