Bridal music

Hello,Who has their ceremony music picked if you are getting married in a catholic church?  I have all the other music picked but the one I will walk into with my dad.  Help? Thanks,Heather

Re: Bridal music

  • There is the old stand by of Ave Maria, Canon in D. Happy Nuptials :-)
  • Hi Heather! Ceremony music can be difficult to pick, especially if you have restrictions based on your venue. I chose a piano only rendition of "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" which is an old gospel hymn, but it has a really pretty sound to it and it doesn't sound too classical. Then there is always (like PP said) "Canon in D" or something else by Pachelbel. Good luck!
  • Ok thanks. Yeah, it's hard the church music director told me to go to a site where there were different selections  for the processional and recessional but I had thought of like the bridal chorus which is like here comes the bride but kind of a softer tone.  So, i'm not sure if people don't do that song anymore.  :)  Thanks!
