Re: Some Venue Questions

I totally agree with not wanting to be sweating in the wedding dress (and for me in the black tux Wink). Thank goodness she's not feeling the summer months but it's going to take one hell of a convincing case on my part to push things into the march dates. I totally agree with "what does a few weeks matter," but it's going to be a struggle. Maybe things will change when we start doing the budget and seeing what's possible. (I think everyone is failing to remember that we still have a honeymoon to pay for and I refuse to be in one dollar of debt after the smoke clears).

I would just sit down and discuss the budget seriously.  Then once you come up with a number per person go and look at a couple venues.  I know when I started looking it really changed my mind about what I wanted.  I started with a beach wedding in September and ended up in a ballroom in August.  I started thinking about the heat, MIL passing out in the heat and our nieces having to be pulled out of school.  August ended up being cheaper at our venue and a lot of my fears were put to rest by moving indoors.  I felt like in looking for a venue things changed very quickly.

My fiance and I are in total agreement to make sure that the place has a nice indoor ceremony area in the case the outdoor ceremony is not doable. I do not want the entire wedding outside. It's just too much pressure.

Thank you for pointing out the school thing with the kids. I totally forgot about that. Definitely makes a Friday date more of an issue.

sorry about the double post earlier. didn't see that we were on a second page. =)

i didnt read this entire thread but......The Imperia has several different rooms, and can accomodate parties of all sizes.   Ive been to events both large and small there.   Ive also been there while working, and can tell you that the kitchen is immaculate and they handle medical emergencies very well LOL.

If you email them they will send you a sample menu with approximate pricing and infomation.   You can always call and see if they will work with your budget.  Whats the worst that can happen?  They say no?   Good luck!!!!
