I havent been here in a while, I moved to the Destination Board. I hope everyone is doing well and planning and weddings are fantastic for all of you! I just wanted to let you knowwhat happened with my Wedding Planner when we decided to go destination, and no longer needed her services.
Some of you may remember that I found my wedding planner at a Brial Show. (Shes a big player in the shows) She was funny and helpful and after several emails and meetings with her & my FI, we decided to go with her for planning and to use her as our florist. I raved about her.
She was paid $2500 for her planning services, in advance. There was a contract, and the contract lists no penalties or stipulations for termination of services.
We went out venue shopping, ONE time. She had not called any of the venues, though it worked out fine. She did not however, have a GPS or directions and a 4 hour day turned into almost 7 from getting lost so many times.
We met with her and discussed not needing her anymore and the reasons why. She seemed very happy for us, and went on and on about how if we're happy shes happy and blah blah blah. We then sat & chatted about life and wedding for over an hour. She agreed we would be refunded. We thought $2000 would be fair, as we wanted to make sure she was compensated for her work thus far.
That was over a month ago. She has not refunded a penny. She ignored phone calls & emails. I'm looking at small claims court.
ANYWAY......Kate Miller Design. Kathy Kuscinski. Formerly Sweet Pea Flower Shoppe. STAY AWAY. And if you see her at a show, tell her to give Vanessa & Bryan their money back! LOL.
