Hello,
I am not the one getting married - it's my coworker - but she wants to know if anyone has any experience with this shop. Reviews pulled up online are AWFUL, but she has already put down a deposit of $500. She is getting married in June and is afraid they will not have the dress in time (because of the reviews), so she's trying to decide whether to forfeit the deposit or not. Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't heard anything bad about them.  I almost got my dress there, but Cinderella Bridal, just up the road from True Love, had my dress a little cheaper.

I got my dress there and it came in about a week later than expected which I think is pretty normal for any shop. All is well.  When did Gail tell her the dress would be in?   Why forfeit 500 over online reviews?

I'm getting my dress there... Gail is the manager i believe... and so far she's been late on letting me know things regarding my dress and bms dresses. But I ordered my dress in late Nov. and she had it rushed ordered because it was way close to my June wedding too. I did have to call her 3 times about a swatch i wanted and she said it'd be in that week and i got a phone call 3 weeks later about it. If you continue to call them and be polite she'll call you back eventually...

Thanks, everyone... Vanessa, my coworker is asking if you got your dress yet or if not, when Gail said it would be in for your June wedding? And did you have to pay a rush fee? Coworker did not.

I got my dress there no issues with mine at all. Forget the reviews the seamstress is great

Gail said it should be in late March or beginning of April and i didn't have to pay for the rush fee.

well i think how long a dress takes to come in depends on the designer so it is possible. So its possible a rush order was needed

I was in there yesterday for MOB gowns with my mother and FMIL and was entirely ignored. I know this doesn't apply to your scenario of ordering gowns, but as a reflection of their poor customer service.

Spring bride- i said i DIDN'T have to pay the rush fee. She also told me it would be close to june and i didn't want to take the chance so she said they'd pay for the rush fee so i wasn't charged.
