Central NJ Venues

Hey all,

Just wondering if people have a recommendation for a central NJ venue that has space for an outdoors wedding.

Limitations are:
- Small-ish wedding (think 60-75 people)
- Preferably under $100 (could maybe stretch above that to $115, but not much higher)
- April/May wedding

Thanks

We are using The Channel Club in Monmouth Beach, which is exit 105 off Parkway South: http://www.channelclubnj.com/

Bridgewater Manor, maybe? IDK what their minimum is but maybe you could negotiate if you did an afternoon wedding.

Bridgewater Manor has a small room for smaller weddings. We are getting married there with a guest list of 80 (expecting 70-75). Their minimum is 65.

Do you mind if you're not the only wedding at the venue? If you want to be the only wedding it really limits your options but if you're open to a place with multiple rooms you'll have a lot more to choose from.

ditto BWM...but you can check out Beverbrook Country Club in Clinton, NJ.  good good, beautiful location.  No idea on the price though.

Oh, cool, thanks for the info! I didn't know BWM did smaller weddings, good thing!

Maybe check out Costa Del Sol in Union, too. We really liked that place. They have an outdoor patio-type area where they might be able to hold a ceremony (they told us that our cocktail hour could've been there, weather-permitting), and it could probably fit 60-75 chairs for a ceremony.

It also depends on what you consider "Central Jersey" I heard the Grounds for Sculpture is really nice and The Hamilton Manor.

I hate to be the party pooper but I really don't see it being possible to get Hamilton Manor or Grounds for Sculpture/Rats for those prices. I was quoted $175/head +22% grat plus a tenting fee for Rats and I remember Hamilton Manor being well above $130/head. Both are great places though.

That's fine :) I wasn't too sure on the prices. Just had friends who went to weddings there and said they were really nice. That area is what I would consider central jersey.

Try Addison Park in Aberdeen.  I know they have a smaller room and I'm sure if you do an afternoon wedding you could be in that range.  The outside is really pretty I think.

Bridgewater Manor has a promotion on Saturday afternoon weddings. Its $69 per person plus 8% gratuity. The amount of food is just a little less than the regular packages but its still more than enough.

My friends got married at architects golf course. It a little west by PA but the place was beautiful.  They were around $100.  She had a friday wedding and I think her min was around 70 people.

Second The Breakers. We ultimately chose not to go with that location, but it is beautiful, they can accomodate smaller parties, costs are reasonable (and we couldn't find any hidden fees!), and the staff there was really helpful.

We're having our reception at the Hilton Garden Inn - just north on Rt.130 from the The Hamilton Manor.  I read really bad reviews about the Hamilton Manor (cold food, noise from restaurant in basement heard in ballroom above,  esp. when they have a band there).  The Hilton Garden Inn has been WONDERFUL!  Plus, they have a nice covered patio area that might work well for a smaller reception, depending on the time of year you are getting married.  Prices are GREAT too!  Good luck!
