I've never heard of people doing anniversary photos! Congrats on one year!

Do you know what style of photos you want? Urban? City views? Rustic? Manicured gardens?

thats my problem .. I would love to have the city in the background but I love those earthy farm/field pictures as well .. my husband has a 68' red Mustang that we might bring (again depending on where we go) .. I'm looking for some ideas locally .. a park with some fun buildings/benches maybe?
And thank you so much .. I always wanted engagement pictures done but for some reason we didn't do them :( figured before we have kids (and get fat LOL) we can capture a special time in our lives that can be hung in our house ..

Our e-pics were taken at Liberty State Park, on the ferry to/from Liberty Island, and on Liberty Island itself.

I love them! We have backgrounds that include NYC, the Statue and also the building on Ellis Island. We got some shots in the train station at the park, too (lots of pillars and fences there). There are lots of benches in the park, right by the waterfront.

I HIGHLY recommend Matt ... he's so talented and he's just such a great guy to be around.

Thank you for the compliments! The e-pic shoot was a blast and we were so pleased with Matt's photos! I normally hate photos of myself but I adore these photos, so that right there speaks volumes about Matt.

When I went to visit Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange, I was really taken with that area of Eagle Rock Reservation which has a beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline. I'm considering going back there this fall for our e-pics!

mbcdefg- your pictures are fantastic! We live right by Liberty State Park, and were thinking about taking our engagement pics there with the Statue of Liberty and city in the background. (we also want the Empire State Building in the background of some pics, because that's where we got engaged.) I never thought about taking pics on the ferry and Liberty Island as well, awesome idea!

State parks and college campuses are great locations. I think parks are free and easy, but you may need to get permission from a college though.

We took our engagement pictures right outside of the W Hotel in Hoboken. There is a park type thing on one side, which allows you to get those rustic type shots in the middle of all the trees. You also get the NYC skyline behind you and cute benches along the walk way. If you haven't already selected a place, and are interested in seeing the pics, let me know.
