Meadow Wood Manor

Hi Folks,

Anyone ever been to a wedding (or, of course, had their own) at the Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph?  I checked it out and it is beautiful!   I have had the food at the Mother's Day brunch before-delish!

I wonder how the weddings there are.  I imagine great, just would like to hear any input.  They do one wedding at a time-which I like.

Thanks!

wow lucky i saw this, it's been a long time since i've looked at these boards! i had my wedding there in January and it was extravegant :)  all i keep hearing from guests is how beautiful it was and how delicious the food was. the cake comes from Gourmet Touch in basking ridge--I got to go there for a tasting and custom design.

there's a bride's room & groom's room upstairs to get ready in and in the basement there are games for kids (or groomsmen!). the guests entered MWM to the lobby with the grand staircase and went straight into the middle room for the ceremony (if you don't have the ceremony there, they're welcomed with your signature drink). after the ceremony they went out to the lobby for our signature drink and our receiving line. then they went to the room on the right for the cocktail hour while we ran around and took photos inside and outside (stairs, gazebo, etc.). then we all went into the ballroom for dinner and all that.

our sales person Danielle (the one who we discussed menus, linen, etc with) was a bit spacey... but the rest of the staff made up for her. Don was one of our day-of attendents and he was fantastic. during the meal, DH asked if there was any sushi left from cocktails since we missed it, and he said it didn't look like any went out (why? i don't know) but he said he'd see what he could do, and later he came back with some sushi, which as it turns out, he went out and bought for us! so sweet :)

it was definitely more elegant than venues with several different rooms for multiple weddings to occur. the whole building was just for us :) however, the bride for the next wedding arrived early... our wedding was to end at 6 and she was there having photos upstairs at 5. and they moved all our stuff out of the bride's room... that was obnoxious.

but overall it was incredible!  you can check out my photos :)

One word.. AMAZING! I was in a wedding there Oct of '09 and cannot express how delish everything was. The cocktail hour was insane, the chicken cranberry entree was soo tasty, and the room is beautiful. They chose the top of the line packages and additions but either way the food is still talked about to this day and the entire facility is beautiful.

I attended a friend's wedding there and it was excellent all the way around:  the food, service, and environment.

The only thing to consider is that there are only so many picture opportunities there.  She had some neat shots on their grand staircase, but there's little in the way of gardens for dramatic outdoor portraits.  If you're only doing your reception there, you might want to consider stopping somewhere else along the way for portraits.

I didn't have enough time for all the photos I wanted! Although it was winter and most photos were inside. And part of the reason I picked MWM was cuz there were tons of ops inside. the staircase, as you said, the balcony, by the big window upstairs, in the lobby, the gameroom in the basement... And outside there was a gazebo and 2 patios. but it looks like you're having a winter wedding anyway, in which case MWM is the perfect venue for cozy indoor photos and some winter wonderland outdoor photos :)

Thank you for the input.  Unfortunately, MWM does not get a lot of recognition anywhere I look-but it is so beautiful that it should!
