Dress Boutiques Charlotte,NC and surrounding area

I have just recently started looking at dresses. I live in South Carolina right on the North Carolina line. I'm looking for a well made gown for the right price, I definately don't want to spend over $2,000.00. I've googled bridal shops in the area but I don't want to just pick one blindly. And honestly the reviews don't give much information on price, just how great the service was. So long story short does anyone have any first hand experience to share!!!

Thanks in Advance!

I got a Maggie Sottero designer dress at Dar-Lyn's (Independence Blvd in Charlotte) for under $1K.  Poffie Girls in Gastonia also has great dresses in your price range. NY Bride on South Blvd is a beautiful facility with great staff and beautiful gowns.

Also, there was a post last week asking about Bridal salons...you might find other good recommendations on there.

Where do you live on the NC/SC line??  I'm in Lake Wylie!

I went to NY Bride and it was perfect from start to finish.  They help you as much or as little as you like.  They are not pushy and have tons of gowns under 2k.  I got my Maggie Sottero there for $730.  Major score points for finding the dress that was the best that also was one of the less expensive that I saw!!

    I'm in Lake Wylie, too!

You guys have been very helpful, Thank You! When you look at websites and such they don't disclose prices and I don't want to set up and appt anywhere and then it be pointless!

    Again Thank You!

Stay away from Nitsa's as they have a $3K minimum.  My sister got asked my dress budget when she made the appointment.

The Lily Rose in Cornelius is really good too.  I didn't end up getting mine there but they have designer gowns that you can find around that price range.  Service was great!

I ordered mine from Dar-Lyns (mentioned above). I had picked out a Maggie Sottero gown at The Bridal Gallery in Cary, but the customer service was horrendous. I had to choose between ordering from NY Bridal or Dar-Lyns. Maggie Sottero has MSRP that stores cannot go below. Dar-Lyns showed me the catalogue so I could see the MSRP, sold me the dress for MSRP and is giving my $150 off my veil. NY Bridal was going to charge me a bit over MSRP. But both are great places to go.

Which one did you get?  I got the Chardonnay from her collection!  I love Maggie's dresses.

I got my Casablanca dress from Darlynns and I loved them! Cascablanca also sets fixed prices so I got $150 towards my veil as well. NY Bridal was very nice, but they don't carry Casablanca. Mecklenburg Bridal was very professional and very helpful, but they were definitely the most expensive for the same dresses found elsewhere. They were selling my exact same dress for $200 over MSRP.
