Plantation Bridal portraits

 I am having portraits done in April and had planned to use Orton Plantation in Wilmy.  They are closed with no sign of reopening.  I would like the look of big columns, spanish moss, etc.  I found Bellamy down there and that is a possibility.  Do ya'll know of any other places that fit the bill?  I would also consider locations around Raleigh.

Downtown Raleigh is fabulous for portraits, I think. Escpecially by City Hall. We had our e-pics done at Duke Gardens, not sure if that's too far for you. There's a park on NCState's campus. I forget what it's called though.

Don't get me started on Orton....I wish bad things on them!!!!  (Childish I know)

I was supposed to get MARRIED there...planned my whole wedding around Orton actually....anyway the place I found most comparable is Airlie Gardens.  There is a fee of $200 that you have to pay to take portraits there but it is really close to Orton with the azaleas and big oaks etc.

Whoa $200!  I thought Bellamy was bad for $150.  Thanks ya'll and I will keep looking.  I might check out poplar grove.  Sorry to hear about your ordeal with Orton.

What about downtown Wilmington near the river? The trees there have the Spanish Willow. And I can see some with the battleship and bridge in the background being pretty cool.

We could do downtown.  I'm not much on the urban photo scenes so I was trying to get as much natural/trees & moss and maybe a few shots inside on a staircase or parlor with queen anne furniture.

What about Southport? There are a lot of historic homes there, tons of Spanish moss, and the really pretty water area with the swinging benches.
