Candy table help please!

Hey girls,

When I was here in 2008-2009 planning my wedding, a lot of girls did candy tables at their wedding, so I'm hoping you all can help me out. I'm actually planning my LO's 1st birthday party and I'd like to include one at our venue.

Can you please tell me where you got your jars/bowls/containers from? And candy? Any cheap places in store/online? Thanks!

You might want to check the "For Sale" post (stickied near the top of the page) to see if anyone is selling containers.

I didn't do a candy buffet so I'm no help there, although I was in Party City yesterday and they were having a huge sale on candy.

    Good luck!

  • I'm thinking of doing a candy bar, and I have found the best prices/sizes at Amazon.com. I am trying to stick to a color scheme, and Amazon has good variety of things I would actually like at good prices. Just check to see if if is offered from Amazon (free shipping over $25) or not (have to pay for shipping.)

  • Michael's has a huge selection.  Every week the newspaper and their website has a 40 or 50% off coupon, so you can save some money there.  And a PP said, check out the For Sale boards, b/c many brides would probably be happy to unload their contains now that their wedding is over.

  • Christmas Tree Shops usually has lots of stuff that would work.
  • Hey, I bought mine through a for sale post here and actually selling them.  I am not sure how many you want or need but I just posted info in the for sale post.

  • Collected my jars from Michaels, AC Moore, Christmas Tree Shop, Marshalls and HomeGoods, of course I used coupons at Michaels/AC Moore.

Candy from AC Moore, Party City, Costco, Target, Aldi's and Wal-Mart (I've been able to pull off color coordination from all these stores). The only place I have ever ordered candy from was Oriental Trading for their swirl pops. I really try to steer clear of ordering offline, the quanities are usually not what I'm looking for and with the shipping it usually ends up being more expensive.
