Calligraphy

For those of you that had your envelopes addressed with calligraphy-who did you use?  Also, what was the pricing like?  I've come across very few and the prices are a bit much ($8-11) to have the inner and outer envelope done.

Re: Calligraphy

  • Dani Writes! Here is her website: http://daniwritescalligraphy.wordpress.com/fonts-letters-words/.  I believe she is $1 per outer envelope and .25 cents for the inner.  She was so affordable and easy to worth with,  I highly recommend her!

  • I second Dani Writes! She did a GORGEOUS job on our invitations, was super easy and nice to deal with, quick to respond to emails, and just overall GREAT.
  • I will third Dani Writes!  Even if you have a little ways to go, contact her so she can mark you in her calendar.  If you wait until the last minute, she probably won't be able to do it since she's usually booked a few weeks at any given time.
  • Thank you all!  I just sent her an email.  My wedding is in July and I just ordered my invites.  I am hoping that is enough time for her.
Her prices look great, I may even have the return address on the outer envelope done by her.
Does she have other fonts besides what she has listed on her site?
  • I fourth Dani Writes!  I contacted her early enough and gave her a heads up when to expect my invites would be ready for her to address.  My invites got held up a bit at the printer, and I kept giving her updates.  She was so nice and told me she would work with me to make sure they'd be done in time.  She turned around 85 outer envelopes in a week or so.  She lives in Brick, which is close to me, so I was able to save some time and money by dropping and picking up from her house rather than shipping back and forth.

</div><div>I think it's just the fonts on her website.  Pretty sure we did the cape with classic tip.  We opted to have the numbers in the zip code closer together. The end result was beautiful.  If you bring your invitations down to her, she can show you examples and you can pick the one you like.  We don't really live by Brick, but we wanted to see font and ink color options in person.  We also saved time in shipping and cost.

  • I fifth Dani Writes..she was AMAZING and so easy to work with. VERY affordable too and I got lots of compliments on our envelopes!
  • i had mine done by a girl i found on etsy.  they turned out great.  it was not typical calligrapy, rather fancy handwriting.  My envelopes were done in gold pen and they look like I paid a ton for the writing but i didnt.  she was great to work with.  she does have a $50.00 minimum though.

  • I'm using Dani Writes as well. She's definitely the most affordable I've found.

I'm dropping my invitations off to her on Saturday :)
