Brooklake Country Club?

Anyone know anything about Brooklake? i am considering booking my wedding there, but I have not been able to find many reviews, especially from guests of the wedding. I think the grounds are beautiful, and that is the big turn on for me with it, but I am not sure about the ballroom and whether the cocktail hour is any good.  Any suggestions, advice, or thoughts would be much appreciated!

I am actually having my wedding there next month on the 20th. I have spoken to a couple of friends of mine that have been to events there and said that the food is very good. The choices for the cocktail hour are very extensive as well. We booked here primarily because we loved the grounds and the staff has been nothing but wonderful. It also holds only one even at a time which was another definite plus. I can definitely give you more feedback next month after my wedding =).

I am too.  I have heard they are easy to work with, and the food is great. The grounds are beautiful.  Just about everything I wanted was included in the package.  A few people I know went to weddings there and said they were great.  Hope this helps.

I thought it was very expensive, but beautiful.

Thanks everyone, that is helpful. Good luck to the poster who has their wedding there next month! I am just sooo confused. I loved Brooklake, but I didnt walk in thinking THIS IS IT, which I always thought I would, but I havent found anything in NJ that I liked better. I want one wedding at a time, lots of greenery for outdoor pictures beforehand, as well as it being a beautiful indoor setting. I think this has all of that, but I am not sure! Your posts definitely help make me feel better about it!

If you want some suggestions, start a new post asking for recommendations... tell everyone how many people you are estimating, your price per person budget, and the other things you are looking for (greenery, etc.) and people will suggest places for you to look at.  Good luck.

I booked my wedding at Brooklake for this July. Both my parents and FIL's have been to weddings there and loved them. Hope this helps!

I'm definitely biased because I booked it.  But I wanted the same type of wedding as you.  If you want some other suggestions, some of the other places we looked at were the Park Savoy, Knoll CC, Meadowwood Manor (they have an outdoor garden).  There's also the Florentine Gardens which I've been to that does 1 wedding at a time and has an outdoor patio.  I did walk in and get the feeling at the Brooklake that it was the place.

Glad you booked it....so funny I looked at all of the same places as you (plus a ton more)! Except Meadowood Manor that one I've never heard of. Congrats!

I'm getting married there in September and I've heard nothing but good reviews on the food and service.  I fell in love with the location, it was exactly what I was looking for and I looked at Knoll, Manor, Mayfair Farms, Perona Farms, Ravello, Nanina's in the Park, and I think there's another one, but I forget!!  I just fell in love with it.  We're having an outdoor ceremony there (weather permitting) and the Brooklake was the only location that I liked the look of the "plan b/bad weather" location as well as the outdoor space.

got married there in 2006 - absoloutely loved it.  the food was fantastic and the grounds are very beautiful.  plenty of room for people to sit during the cocktail hour.  when i booked it was about $140 per person - not sure about now.  that included vieneese hour and shrimp bar.  people said they loved everything.  bridal suite was nice too.  good luck!
