S/O Waxing: Sugaring or Waxing

I'm going to make an appointment next week- I've only done waxing... is sugaring worth the extra money? Is it really less painful?

How much extra is it?   I would say that sugaring is about half as painful as waxing for me.  For me it would definitely be worth extra (even though I can bear the pain of a brazilian wax without major issues), particularly if the price difference is small.  I also had less redness and such afterwards (not that it really matters -- it isn't like anyone else ever saw anything until after the redness had subsided anyway).
