Alterations recommendations in Raleigh/Cary/Durham area (other than Olga)

I have my appointment scheduled with Olga in August, but if I keep my appointment with her, I won't be able to have bridal portraits with my photog that ive paid for (dress won't be ready until right before the wedding). Do you guys have recommendations for other alterations in my area? Im looking for somewhere that is good and affordable. Thanks!!

Did you tell Olga that you need it earlier? She might work with you.

Yea, she is so booked that the earliest she could have it for me was August. If I take my photos at the end of August, they won't be ready for the wedding.

SHahla at North Hills is good, too. She altered my gown for the 2008 inaugural ball beautifully--and pressed it beautifully as well.

Did you tell Olga you needed it sooner for bridal portraits that were already paid for. She told me when I went to her and was thinking about doing bridal portraits and wanted to move my date up that she was booked but to call the month before i wanted to move my alterations to and she would figured out how many brides she had and figure out a way to squeeze me in. I ended up deciding against bridal portraits b/c my photographer takes so many pictures of just bride and just groom on day of and didn't want to waste the money, but she was willing to work with me.

She did amazing work on my dress for a great price. Hope you get things worked out.

    Lees Tailor is amazing.

Busybee - which location of Lee's Tailor did you use?  That is who I'm thinking of using, although I feel a little silly getting my wedding dress tailored at my regular old mall tailor (I've been to them at Southpoint for suits, dresses, jeans, etc.).  Since my alterations should be very simple - just taking in, shortening and taking out crinoline, and the dress is just cotton with no decoration - I was somewhat less worried about it...

The one in Apex, their work is excellent. They can even make a lace hem look like it has never been altered. Very quick and efficent.
