Anyone been to Curacao or St. Maarten?

Has anyone traveled to Curacao or St. Maarten and have hotel recs? Thanks so much!

I've been to St. Maarten on cruises... nothing spectacular, it's just like all of the other islands imo.  No hotel recs for you though sorry.

Same here.. I wasn't really impressed with St. Maarten.. and the people on the French side were rude to us.

If you are looking at ST Maarten then definitely check out Anguilla.  Very clean, great eats, and very relaxing.  You can always take a day trip to St Maarten if you really wanted.  We took a trip there 2 years ago and are considring it for a our honeymoon which we really have to book.

I've been to St. Maarten on a cruise and I loved it.  Everyone was very nice to me on both sides of the island.

I have been to both.. They are completely safe and you can explore with no problem. In Curacao we stayed at the Marriott and in St. Maarten at La Samanna which is just gorgeous. You can't go wrong with either island.
