    I did the hotel block the day after signing the contract for my venue. There was no reason to wait since they don't require any money as a deposit.

    We did the hotel block about a year in advance. Limos were booked around 9 months in advance.

    I booked everything super early, and I'm glad I did because it was less things to stress about.  Because I booked so far in advance no one was booked up on my day.  I definitely recommend doing hotel sooner than later to lock in a 2012 rate.

    We booked our hotel block about 8 months in advance.  Although as one PP said it doesn't hurt to do that as early as possible, since there is no financial commitment to do so.  We booked our limo around the same time.
