Bachelorette party

Is it ok to just let a small group of closest girlfriends celebrate with me or is it rude to not extend the invite to female relatives and friends on the guest list? I really dont want a big affair or for people to feel obligated that they should attend.  I think my friends are planning an overnight in AC. I would love your thoughts.

i would say invite who you want there. i stuck w/ close friends and a few of my family members (cousins) who i thought would enjoy it. as far as all female relatives - aunts, mom, FMIL - definately not. don't feel obligated to invite everyone, many people think of the bachelorette party as just bridal party anyway

My bridesmaids are organizing the guest list, but I believe only my close, local friends are invited.

Mine was just my bridesmads and like 5 other girls that I'm really close to.

I would say just close friends or family that you want to invite.

I had a destination bachelor party and only bridesmaids were invited.  It would have been hard to organize with a lot of people, and I didn't want anyone else to feel obligated.

i had my bridal party (my one bm flew in from AZ! it was awesome) there and then some close friends....we also invited my cousins and a couple of coworkers (but i consider them friends)
mainly people from my side (i don't think my sister invited mh's cousins, mh isn't really close to them)
