Passaic County BYOB

I am looking for a possible BYOB for our rehearsal dinner.  We are getting married at the Brownstone and doing our rehearsal there so some place close if possible.  Also, not Italian food because that's what is on the menu for our wedding.

Not in Passaic County, but Sabor Peru in Rutherford is really good and Google Maps says it's 15 minutes away. The restaurant isn't very big, though ... how many people are you expecting?

I believe that Rutherford is entirely BYOB, so maybe look for other places in that area. Sabor Peru is the only one I've been to. I hear Paisano's is really good, but that's Italian food.

Or do you want to stay closer to Paterson?

I went to Paisano's for Valentine's Day and it was amazing and BYOB, but Italian.

Essex county/Montclair - there are a lot. Cuban Pete's? It's Mexican and loud and fun, but should also be BYOB.

Tuffys, I've been dying to try Paisano's! Our friends go all the time and rave about it. Anything in particular you'd recommend that we try, once we finally get there? I've been hankering for a good chicken marsala for a while now.

MBcdefg had a good suggestion: Rutherford is all BYOB, isn't far at all from The Brownstone (@15 minutes?) & there are plenty of good resraurants...but let me get back to you on which I might duggest!

Our RD was in Lyndhurst, a town over from Rutherford; that's why I'm familiar with the directions to TB!

Sabor Peru in Rutherford is too small for 35 people ( it's across the street from my gym so I pass it every day), never ate there though. There is a very nice Latin place on route 46 in Saddle Brook, the food is delish and it's BYOB. Old San Juan Latin Restaurant, http://www.oldsanjuannj.com/

mbcdefg - I had a chicken dish that might have actually been called "chicken Paisano"

It was a chicken breast sauteed in tomato, topped with ham and mozzarella.

My second choice was chicken breast in a white wine lemon sauce with prosciutto and mozzarella. My BF had their stuffed pork chop special of the night - stuffed with walnuts and other goodies (I only tried a bite of it)  Really yummy place!  I think I've had their chicken marsala in the past, but don't totally remember.

Most of the best BYOB's are Italian places, I wouldn't limit yourself.  It's ok to have Italian food 2 nights in a row, just be smart with your menu selections.
