Non-Cheesy DJ that Offers Uplighting?

It seems like all the non-cheesy DJs that I like who do not tell the guests to "make some noise" or partake in fist-pumping, do not offer any lighting services.  I know that I can just go with a separate lighting vendor, but I was hoping that it would be cheaper if I went through a DJ.  Does anyone know of any good DJs that do lighting?  I looked at previous posts that recommended Elite, Premier, etc. and I couldn't even watch the whole thing because I didn't want to listen to the DJs talking anymore!  Please help!

We're using Gemini Productions. We'll have a DJ, MC and lighting specialist who will come before the reception to set up all of the uplighting, slow roll and and dance floor intelligent lighting. We were very happy with them. They also have uplit DJ booths.

My friend used Jam Music out of Rutherford and they did EXATLY what my friend asked them to do. They hardly said anything, except to make the important announcements and they played great music all night. They got a really good deal too - I think they paid $2k for a DJ, MC, one flat screen, DJ lighting and uplighting, and someone played piano during their cocktail hour. They were a preferred vendor for their venue though, so I'm not sure if that's why they got such a good deal -  but I thought they were well worth the price and even a bit more.

We are using Paul Anthony Entertainment. We specifically don't want a cheesy DJ either and our planner recommended Paul. We are using him for the ceremony and reception and uplighting. And a percussionist too. He is slightly more expensive though- that deal in PP is awesome!!!!

We used Premier Entertainment and specifically told them that we did not want them to do those things and they did exactly what we asked.    We met with our DJ the week before the wedding and went over exactly what we wanted him to do and what we were looking for as far as music, etc and he was amazing.  We didn't want someone who was going to talk alot and make it into a club scene, just not our style.    So, don't count out those companies you have listed because of a video on their website.   They can give you what you are looking for for sure.

We are using premier entertainment as well. I thought the exact same thing. I had so much trouble finding someone because of the videos posted online. We met with them about a month ago and they were great. They will accommodate your style and what you a re looking for in your MC/DJ. You can also do just a DJ without the MC and I'm sure that would cut down on all the "cheesy" talking you are looking to avoid.

I am using them!! My brother used them and they were great.  It is a family run operation and they are just such nice people.  The father and son are the DJ/MC and the daughter does all the lighting.  We are getting uplighting, gobo lighting, and all that laser stuff while dancing (you can see I really know what I'm talking about haha).  We also have 2 plasmas where they will play videos of whatever song they are playing and they are doing a photo montage for us. We got a great deal and they were totally willing to work with us.  They do offer piano during cocktail but we decided not to have that and it brought down the price.  I just got an email from them that they now have a photo booth too, so if you were looking to do that you might get a good deal on everything :)

You do realize that the DJ caters to your style right?  Just because their video shows high energy interaction, doesn't mean that is all they do.

One of the best weddings I have ever been to, Elite DJed and they didn't do that at all, they did an amazing job.
