How to Incorporate a NJ park into wedding weekend

Has anyone had their ceremony at a park in NJ?  Or maybe a rehearsal dinner picnic? 

I want to incorporate a NJ park into my wedding weekend (love the outdoors).  Would like to have my ceremony there or perhaps a rehearsal picnic.  But I don't know what parks allow reservations or which parks are most scenic/appropriate for a ceremony or picnic.  Does anyone have any experience?  We are in Edison (central NJ).

This might be too far but we are getting pictures done in Holmdel Park. We had to pay for a permit though, so make sure to call ahead.

There's the Colonial Park Rose Garden (currently under renovation) in Somerset. I'm not sure if they do weddings, but you can always ask.

There's also Roosevelt Park in Edison, but that's more of a recreational park...
