i got mine at www.theamericanwedding.com there are pictures of them in my bio somewhere....they also send out free samples, so you can see what the quality of the invites are...i loved them!

Mine are from Wedding Paper Divas and I'm quite pleased with them. I waited until they had a sale to purchase the invites (sign up for their e-mail list, they have sales all the time).
I'd encourage you to order samples before you buy, though. We had two in mind so I ordered a sample of each. They're only $1 apiece and FREESHIP will always get you free shipping on anything you order from them, so you really can't lose if you just try it. One invite looked a lot smaller than we thought it'd be and the paper felt really flimsy in person, but we liked the other one so we went with that.
I just wanted something that looked decent and was affordable and I think these fit the bill just fine. They arrived quickly and in good shape, and customer service was very helpful when I had some layout issues that needed to be fixed.
I ordered my STDs from wedding paper divas (the style is called "date boxes") and I love them. I had coupon codes for free shipping, 15% off and I ordered them when they had STDs on sale, so I think I got 80 or something STDs for less than $100 with the return address printed on the envelopes. I agree about ordering samples too. I ordered my invites from the Golden Quill in Chester because I wanted thermography invitations and didn't really like the selection on WPD. Plus I had a 20% off coupon for golden quill from a bridal show (love my coupons!!!). The line we chose is called Paper Duvet and they're pretty cool because you can customize everything and they were very reasonably priced especially for thermography.
I would certainly order samples of any styles you are interested in from Wedding Paper Divas. I have a friend who got her invites there and they were beautiful, but when I ordered samples of styles that I liked online, I was not impressed, I think they are very hit or miss. So I went elsewhere, www.mewpaperarts.com is where I got my invites.
Definitely check Etsy. I went through what seemed like a million invitation places that were way more expensive than what I was looking to spend. We used the seller on Etsy called MonCher Designs, their work is beautiful, they're super responsive and really friendly and I couldn't beat their price.

I was going to order from them after saying no to a graphic designer. But then we found these DIY kits that the price could not be beat.
