gift for groom...

I got my groom an ice sculpture of his favorite football team. Id like to put a note next to it in a little frame so people know it was a gift to him from me...  Any ideas on wording? Something simple- or should I not display a note?
It will be displayed at cocktail hour.

    I wouldn't do a note.  I'd tell him when you both enter the room.  I'd also let a few key family members and friends know; from there the news will spread all on its own.

    I wouldn't do a note, it seems "showy" to me.  If any one asks, then tell them, or I'm sure your DH will be excited to tell people.

    I wouldn't do it because I think it'd come across as, "This is my wedding, but I'm gifting Groom with a little something that he likes!" (even if you don't mean it that way). Plus I don't see a point in announcing that you've given him a gift.

    I wouldn't put a sign up either. I would maybe include it in the note that I give him while he is getting ready though.
