PSA: Very cheap dresses

I was in Lohmans on Route 18 in New Brunswick on Friday.  They had 3 different style long gowns in white.  While they were probably prom dresses they looked wedding / bridal enough to me.  All were around $100 & quite lovely if anybody is looking for a bargain.  They didn't have a lot of sizes though.

    If someone is on a tight budget and is looking for a white dress that could be used as a wedding dress, I see no problem with the OP's suggestion.  Not everyone is looking to have the typical North Jersey wedding.

    Let me rephrase -- they have lovely, well-made, long white dresses in 3 styles.  They are discounted b/c it's Lohmans & further discounted b/c prom season is over. 

    The price of wedding dresses is obscene.  I had hoped to find long simple dresses like these when I was in search of my wedding gown.  It wasn't the right time of year & the styles were all too young for me.  These were very nice & IMNSHO beter made then some of the <a href="mailto:cr@p">cr@p</a> I saw at a leading Bridal chain. 


    To <strong>bereasonable2 </strong>-- your comment wasn't very reasonable or nice.

    Bereasonable, you are hardly being so. As someone who finds the thought of spending 2k on a dress you wear for one day of your life for a few hours to be ridiculous, I had actually looked at department stores to see if there were any simple ivory dresses that could be worn as a wedding dress. In fact, one of my friends did just that and her dress looked great on her. This was obviously a post for brides with budget in mind, no reason to be rude to people who don't see the point in spending their entire savings on a party.

    If I was in the market for buying a dress soon, I would totally check them out!
    I don't plan on buying a tradtional dress.  Wayy too expensive.
