Hey guys,
How do you feel about an intermezzo? I was told that the intermezzo slows down the pace of a wedding and adds more time that the guests have to be in their seats.
I like the idea of doing an intermezzo (honestly I think I just like the word 'intermezzo') but don't know if there's anything I'm not considering... any thoughts?

Love it! We have intermezzo in our package. However, we also have a "salitizer" rather than a seperate salad and appetizer - so guests don't need to stop that extra course to eat. BUT, even if we did have them all seperate I still would have intermezzo. IMO, the more you have the better. I've gone to some weddings that didn't have much food, and I felt like it was obvious their package wasn't what the general "norm" has now become in NJ. I say if it is part of your package, def. keep it. If people want to keep dancing instead of eatting that, they will. I was at one wedding this past summer and a bunch of people completely missed the appetizer and salad because they didn't want to stop dancing....they didn't care. But for those of us who did not feel like dancing and wanted to eat, we were happy to have whatever was put in front of us.
I was assured it is brought out quickly and doesn't delay the partying by a noticeable amount. And like PP said, if guests want to keep dancing and not eat it, they will.
All for the Intermezzo!!!
