Bride on a budget, looking for photographer

Hey Girls,
    I am brand new to the Knot. I Just got engaged and my weeding is in June.  I am a bride on a budget and looking for any great Photographer that you can recommend.
I am getting married in north New Jersey. Any other budget bridal tip would be great.

I hear about Jason Rhee a lot and also highly recommend Julian Ribinick who is great!

It depends what you mean by "on a budget".  In a corner of the world where it's easy to spend $5k+ on wedding photography, $3k can sound pretty cheap.  For some people, they're looking for <$1k.

That said, Jason Rhee would be a good pick.  Also, Robert Wayne Photography (who we're using).

We liked Jason Rhee a lot but ended up going with Kinga at KS Photo Studio. She includes a lot in her packages for the price and while more expensive than Jason, I also felt the quality of products was higher (album, thank you cards, etc). Good luck!

Wow Ladies thanks for all the amazing recommendations,

I am using a photographer that shot one of my bridesmaids weddings and they look like a great photographer for the price, I am paying $1800.

My only problem is their album pricing is SOOOO high. Starting at $850.

Am i missing something? Why are their albums almost half the price of the photography? That doesn't make any sense.

How much does your photographer charge for albums, is my photog trying to rip me off for albums?

Are you girls getting an album from your photog, or getting it somewhere else?
