DJ Question & Lighting Packages

Good morning!
Met with a DJ last week that I absolutely loved, and his starting price was within our budget; however........, the starting price did not include the "theatrical lighting", which costs $1295, (almost the price of the DJ & Emcee). (This is for 6 Automated Lights with Technician)
Has anyone gotten "lighting packages" for their wedding, and if so, would you mind sharing with me the approx price? I feel this is way too much for just lights, but do not know if this is normal? ugh.
Thx!

We're paying $1495 for DJ and Emcee, with lighting on the dance floor and $650 for uplighting but that does not include any computerized lighting. It was also $50/pin spot as an add-on option that we didn't go wtih

Edit: Forgot to mention the 1495 also includes a piano player for the cocktail hour

We're having the DJ, Emcee, personalixed gobos, lighting and this also include 4hrs. for the reception, cocktail hour and our ceremony...so about 5 1/2 hrs. for $1500

Since we are using a band we are probably using our venue for uplighting (they do it for a per person fee). We did call some lighting places and they went as high as $1,500 for uplighting. BUT I went to my friend's wedding last weekend and her DJ provided her with the uplighting...I swear she got the DEAL of the century because for a DJ, photo montage, 1 plasma screen, DJ lighting and room uplighting (which changed colors throughout the night and looked amazing) she only paid $2,000! It was one of her venue's preferred vendors so I'm not sure if that's why it was such a great deal, but all of it was very nice and the DJ was also very good (not corny, stuck to their specific playlist, etc.).
