Women's Club of Ridgewood and Englewood, NJ *** HELP ***

Hi-
I am looking for a little bit of help here from my fellow brides.
I really like the look and feel of these two venues but I need some help when it comes to pricing.  Do you think I can do a wedding for around $8-9,000 (includes rental fee and catering) at either of these two locations? I am looking at some restaurants and wedding hall venues and I just haven't had that feeling.  But based on previous weddings i've seen photos of at these women's clubs it looks perfect for me and my fiance.  Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Also, any reccomendations of caterers and possibly DJ's and florists.  I'm looking for a February 2013 wedding.  Thanks again. LauraCool

  • I don't know much about the women's club prices, but I have recommendations for DJ and florist.

DJ - Anthony Wayne Entertainment - He isn't cheesy or too much of a personality.  He's also reasonable.

S&K Floral Expressions in Hasbrouck Heights for flowers.  They book in advance, so contact them soon.  They are very reasonable - work out of the home so little or no overhead - and they saw my vision perfectly.

    Good luck!
  • Oh and the places might use exclusive caterers so check into that.  The Hermitage uses Take Away Gourmet in Waldwick and I've heard good things.

I originally considered getting married at the Englewood location. Whether you can do it for $9K really depends on a lot. It depends on how many guests you have, how much decor you want to bring in, rentals & your catering. Anything is possible, just depends on what you're looking for. I found it to be way too much work to use them since you have to bring in your own catering and rental companies. Too much of a headache.

Plus, for the Englewood location, you can only choose from about 5 DJ's because of some noise ordinance in the town. The rental fee includes the basic table & chairs. It's extra if you want the chivari chairs and extra for the ceiling lights. Once you start to add those things on, it's not as cheap as you think. If that's what you really want, then start looking into catering pricing to see how much that will be for you to see if it'll work for you.
