The Millennium Center

We are getting married at and having our reception at the Millennium Center in Winston-Salem.  The owner of the venue also provides catering, but we have the option of having outside catering. I can't seem to find any reviews for this venue, let alone the catering.  I'd love to hear from anyone who had their reception there and used the owner as the caterer or just from anyone who used this venue and their thoughts.

Have you done a food tasting at Millenium?  I haven't used thm at all, but we wanted a reception place that also provided the catering, so a must for us was being able to try the catered food before deciding on the reception place.  If you ask, they should let you come in to do a food tasting before you book them.  Can't hurt to try!

You're absolutely right - we do need to do a tasting. The owner is very energetic but a little unresponsive to emails, etc.  I was just wondering if it was me being a paranoid bride or if others had any experience with this venue.

I didn't have my wedding there nor have I been to a wedding there, but I just wanted to say I think it is a beautiful place to get married. I don't know of anyone from the boards who was married there. Sorry to not be of much help!

We had our high school prom there, and it was AWESOME.  I looked there too, but the main room was just too big of a space for the number of guests we were inviting.  I loved the upstairs too!

The good news is that the parking in the area is not bad, especially with a number of parking decks around.

Out of curiosity how big is your wedding going to be?

We are expecting around 200 guests.  We are actually getting married in the upstairs portion of the building that was the old federal courtroom.
