Hard to sleep without SO?

DH is going to be away on an overnight business trip this week- and I'm freaking out having to sleep in the house by myself. I might borrow one of my mom's pups to sleep over haha. Pathetic? Probably.

Anyone else have problems sleeping without your FI/DH/DW?

YES! Even if he is in the other room it's hard for me to fall asleep. When he goes away  I usually take 2 Sleep-X and pass out. I hate when FI isn't home  :(

I sure do.... When DH (though he was FI at the time) went to Cali for 2 weeks for business, I went to my mom's to stay! And I still had a hard time sleeping because I missed him so much next to me! (Puppy helped a lot though!)

I totally do because even when I sleep at my mom's I don't sleep very well. He doesn't sleep well without me either. He gets upset if I fall asleep on the couch and am not in bed with him...lol   We are both big babies. :)

I don't know, I guess since FI travels a lot for baseball and I go up to north jersey almost once a month, we've gotten used to it.  We do have the rule though that if one of us isn't there sleeping the dog can take our place :)

it used to bother me, but now that I am pregnant, I sleep on the couch almost every night because I am more comfortable.  So, I have gotten used to it, and he tells me he loves having the bed all to himself!  I told him not to get too used to it because after I have the baby I am sleeping back there!  LOL

<div>Ditto!  My husband is a complete sheet hog, and he and the kitties take up like 90% of the bed, so I'm kind of happy when I get a free night :)</div><div>

Uppereast....that is so funny that you mention the whole King sized bed thing at hotels because even on those nights, I somehow manage to wake up with DH practically on top of me at the edge of the bed...lol

Opposite for me!  Love having the bed all to myself.  When the opportunity arises, I like to spread out diagonally across the whole bed and I sleep like a baby.  No snores to wake me up!

It's kind of like a catch 22 for me... I generally can't sleep at all without FI, but on the nights when his snoring is really bad I would give anything to have the bed to myself, haha.

I'm lonely when FI isn't here and have a harder time falling to sleep but I do enjoy a night's sleep to myself every now and then.

It takes me a while to fall sleep when FI is not home.
And it is funny to see how FI miss me too.  Before I used to come back from work at 2 am.  FI would be quietly sleeping at that time.  But when I laid down on the bed he would start snoring heavily.  I think he would fall in a deeper sleep because of my presence.  I am not 100% sure if it was really it, but I thought it was cute.

I have a hard time sleeping because my house seems too big when DH isnt there.  There are too many odd noises and places for the boogie man to hide.   I have to search the enitre house before I go to bed.  I love a free night though where I can eat whatever junk I want and not have to worry about DH wondering where dinner is.

    PS Congrats Laurie.

Yes, I definitely have a hard time falling asleep without FI there. Even if he is in the other room watching tv it's almost impossible for me to fall asleep.

    Congrats Laurie!

Omg I thought I was the only one! When FI is in the other room watching T.V I can't sleep we sometimes argue, because I need him in bed. I actually get mad at myself. CONGRATS Laurie!

I love it when we sleep apart!! :) I was sick last week and he slept in the guest room..  Yes, we have a King-sized bed.. but we sleep on opposite ends.  Plus he's like a radiator and has a sick metabolism which kicks in at night, so he gets sooo warm - great for the winter, crappy in the summer
