XP: DIY invitations-tissue paper inserts?

I know these aren't a requirement, but I am debating whether or not to include these. I have a pretty descent printer and I am printing the invites out on glossy paper, them mounting them on cardstock, and putting them in matching envelopes. Very basic. I was worried about the ink rubbing off on the response card envelopes, so I was thinking the tissue paper inserts might be a good idea.

I went to Michaels and they didn't sell them. That is one of the only craft stores around my house. I looked onilne, and the companies that do sell them want to charge $10 for shipping, which I think is rediculous.

Should I just go to Party City and buy regular tissue paper (the stuff that is used for gifts) and just cut it to the size of my invites? Would that be weird? I'm not sure if thats the same type of tissue that is used for the inserts. I don't want it to look weird!

Any advice? Thanks!

Also, if I do go that route, what color should I get? My colors are red and black. Would it be weird to get either red or black tissue paper? Or just stick with good ol white?

I printed our invitations at Staples because it was cheaper than doing it myself. I considered including the tissue paper but after reading up on the purpose of it I decided to forget about it. It's only purpose now is for tradition. The original purpose of having it keep the ink from smudging is no longer a concern. I would say to skip the process and use the extra time and money for something else. Happy planning!
