Officiant

I have been looking through everyone's suggestions, but they all seem to be $450+ Does anyone have any recommendations at a lower price range? Or is that price pretty much the standard?

Re: Officiant

  • That's pretty standard. We are paying $450 for ours. I contacted 6 or 7 people and the lowest quote I got was $425. There were some in the $700 - $1000 which I didn't even bother contacting! With some people, their pricing also depends on how elaborate a ceremony you will have. Hope this helps!

Wow. Ok thank you! Man, thats a whole lot of money for half an hours worth of work!
  • Hi there,

I wanted to suggest Marilyn Lockwood. Her prices are in $450 range but she is such  a sweetheart. She has a few that are $400. Here's her link: http://www.withthiskissitheewed.com/services-ceremony-options-and-fees/

But in regards to you other comment, I know it seems like a lot of money for a half hour of work but they actually do more than that. Depending on the type of ceremony you want they interview you, talk to friends and family, to write a ceremony that is personalized and unique to you. They also help you come up with keepsakes or momentos in the event you don't want the traditional unity sand, etc.

I hope you can find someone that fits your budget. Good luck with the plans!

  • Hi, I was faced with the same dilemma!  We decided on Rev. Richard Cash who was just the best to work with to personalize our ceremony. He is actually charging us $350 since we only need a simple (yet still personalized) ceremony.  I think his normal going rate is $425 but he will definitely work with you.  Google him, you'll find him!  Very down to earth and pleasant. We can't wait until the big day to hear him perform the actual ceremony!
