Processional Song Opinion

Hi all :-)My fiance and I would like to use Tenth Avenue North's "Beloved" (the actual recorded song w/ vocals and everything) for the processional song for both the bridesmaids/groomsmen and then me to walk down.  It is a non-traditional contemporary Christian song that has a lot of meaning to FI and I, however I just wanted to get some opinions on whether it is "too" contemporary for a processional. Our ceremony is going to be held in a nondenominational church, so they will definitely let us play the song..so this is not a concern.I was thinking I could start my walk around 3 min or so into the song in the link below (during the slow piano followed by quicker part of the song).  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CUGTIWCFyo&feature=related**Note: just listen until about 3:50 into the song or so, we would end it there**Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!! :) Thanks so much!

Re: Processional Song Opinion

  • One more thing - we were thinking we might turn the song down gradually as it plays since it gradually gets louder..that way it would be pretty even throughout.
  • ok so i totally got chills when i heard this! I say if it has special meaning to you and FI, go for it. Who cares what other people think?!I'm walking down to Shania Twain's "From This Moment" - so i'm all about being different and creative :)
  • Love that song! I don't hear anything inappropriate about it.  If it has special meaning to you, I say that's all the more reason to go for it.

  • I like it, and think it's very appropriate for a modern wedding in a non-denominational church wedding.
  • Thanks so much for the replies! :) You all gave me that little bit more of assurance that I needed..I can't wait to walk down the aisle to this song!!!! :)
  • I like the song and I think it would be cool if that song means a lot and the church would be okay with it. Just practice because 3+ minutes is long just for the processional.
