Dress Shops in Morristown

I live in central Jersey and I'm looking to go dress shopping at some local places.  I'm probably going to try out I Do I Do and Dressed to the Nines, both in Morristown.  Has anyone had experience with either?  Just want to make sure I don't buy a dress from a place that will end up like Enzo's! :)

I recommend Hollywood Bridal in Kenilworth and Cinderella Bridal in Matawan. Not sure if those are close to you but I had a great experience at both.

i looked at bridesmaid dresses at dress to the nines. the women who worked there were very friendly and actually listened to what we wanted. never ordered from them though, but they have been around for a long time.

I did the David's Bridal route in East Brunswick. However, I knew the EXACT dress I wanted to try on, and took my mom and FMIL with me. They basically told the girl what other things to pull and I just tried on the dresses.

...Got the dress I wanted to try on in the first place.

I recommend DB if you just want to browse or get a feel for styles - but if you buy there, don't get your alterations done there!

I enjoyed my Dressed to the Nines experience.  As an older bride I felt she was one of the few who catered to me & not only to 20 something brides.  Her stuff is lovely & had a more sophisticated flare, IMO.  She was one of the only vendors who didn't talk to me about being a princess or some other such driviel.

I also got all my bridesmaids dresses at Hollywood Bridal in Kennilworth.  Great to work with and free alterations :)

I highly recommend Bijou Bridal in Paramus. I've had a great experience with them so far. Stephanie was my consultant and was extremely helpful. She really listened to what I wanted and ended up picking out the dress I bought. My mom also bought her dress from here and we both have nothing but good things to say about their service!

dalm0m- i had to laugh after reading your review of dress to the nines. i am glad that you had such a great experience as an older bride. i am a younger bride and had such a great experience there too. i felt like they actually treated me like a bride and human being. most places i visited looked at me and talked to me like i was a child (i look ridicously young).

I had a great experience trying on dresses at I Do I Do. The owners are so sweet and really accomodating. I haven't purchased a dress yet (I plan on trying out a couple more salons since my wedding is still a ways off), but I hope I end up getting mine there.
