2 Photography Related Questions

1.) Out of the two, which do you prefer?  Julia Newman at www.julianewman.com or Elisabeth Millay at www.elisabethmillay.com ?  I'm torn!  JN was referred to me by a friend who used her for a wedding (and she adored her) and EM I got from googling (and all her reviews are great as well). 

2.) I am getting married in Sparta next August but since I don't live in the area I have no idea where's a nice place to take pictures.  The venue (Mohawk House) is nice but some of the photographers I've been talking with have been asking if there's a nearby park/open space/architecture/whatever.  5-10 minutes driving distance preferable from Sparta.

I am a fan of Millay, but I checked out her blog and I dislike the vintage style she has been doing.  If you like that, go for it.  If not, I like the other one better.

I live up there and have eaten at the Mohawk House.  It's nice inside, but there are no grounds for pictures.  The closest thing to there is Station Park in Ogdensburg.  Not especially pretty and garden-like, but it can work.

I'm not familiar with either of your photographers but we're working with Robert Wayne Photography who is also local to there.  I remember seeing him post photos of a small wedding at Mohawk House on his FB page some time ago; maybe you want to check in with him, too.

Golfchick - yes, I had already seen those pictures.  Mostly their photos appear to be on the grounds and I think Station Park as well.  He's not to my taste, but to teach their own.
